Holiday Potluck + Mini Room Tour

Post image for Holiday Potluck + Mini Room Tour

My roommates and I threw a little (kind of big, actually) potluck in our room last night. It was for the holidays, as this is our last weekend together before we go home after finals. I realized I didn’t have anything that was particularly holiday-y here, so I made a stop at American Apparel with my roommate, Chandelle. She bought a gorgeous burgundy long-sleeved dress, and I got this velvet bodysuit and gold skirt. I’m probably gonna wear the top again when I go home for the holidays…I think it’s so cute!

Wearing: AA velvet tank thong & shiny skirt, “Zoe” by Sam Edelman boots.

Anyway, I’ve been talking about showing you guys my room for over a year now. Since then, I’m on my third dorm room, and I’m finally getting it to look the way I want to. I’ll be getting the bed spread of my dreams this week…I’m so excited! But until then, this is its current state.

It’s a bit mis-matchy since the bed spread is leftover from last year at school, and I bought the wall tapestry shortly after school started this year. I want to revolve my decor around that more than anything else. I made the circular weave tapestries from a Free People tutorial on their blog some months ago. I fely so crafty and stay-at-home-mom when I made them this summer. I’m really proud of them since I NEVER complete projects. And lastly, I’ve included a photo of the lovely view outside my dorm room window!

I’ll hopefully show you pictures of my room in its next state. But knowing that it took me 3 different rooms and 14 months to actually do it…we’ll see. Hahaha.
