If you haven’t heard yet, H&M is doing a collaboration with artist Jeff Koons! They’ve turned their new 5th Avenue store into a museum to to correspond with the H&M-sponsored Jeff Koons: A Retrospective exhibition at the Whitney Museum. As an artist, myself, I’m so excited for this collaboration because it’s the first that H&M has done of its kind! I’m excited to see what other artists are in-store for the future of this kind of collaboration.
I always love working with H&M and when they asked me if I wanted to participate, I couldn’t say no! Jeff Koons isn’t amongst my favorite artists, but I can acknowledge that he’s successful at the whole, “If it makes you talk about it, it’s doing something right,” thing. Whether you are a fan, this bag is made of genuine leather and will be sold in select markets and online at HM.com on July 17th! The Whitney will also be carrying the bag so if you get to check out the exhibit, you can grab one while supplies last.
As for the outfit, a quirky bag needs a basic outfit. I think this outfit describes what my go-tos have been lately. I’m always about basic skirts but structured basic skirts are my new thing. And to make it a little more casual, a simple tank. This one that AA sent me is a godsend. I already have one in black but I had wanted the grey one since high school and strangely never found myself to get one in 6 years. Now I have it and its one of my new wardrobe staples! Threw it on with my Tardy boots which needed some love. They always give a certain toughness that makes up for what the rest of an outfit is lacking.
