This is one of those outfits where I based it all on the shoes. I bought my Soirées over a month ago (nearly 2?) and I’m just now showing then to you–sorry! If you follow me on Instagram (melaniepatterson_) you saw them in this post. These are probably the coolest shoes I own at this point. I’ve actually been meaning to do a post of my entire shoe collection so I’ll show you everything soon.

I wore this dress here a while ago, but I hated it’s awkward length. This summer, I took scissors to it and left the hem raw. It’s so much better than before!

You’ve seen the body harness before but I won’t link to the post because I probably weigh 20 pounds more in a dress too tight for me at that weight. Haha. I’ll let you find it on your own.

Wearing: American Apparel tank dress (no longer for sale), ASOS body harness (similar), Jeffrey Campbell Soirée sandals.

Loooove! That body jewelry is so fancy. Is it difficult to go about your day wearing it?

Thanks, Jen! It actually doesn’t stay on my shoulders too well…especially with jackets on. But it still looks good with the shoulder part off. I usually forget that I’m wearing it, actually.

Your blog – the layout, it’s design; is amazing! I love everything about it. Do you freelance by any chance?

I already have a few degrees, but I’m gearing up to start college again to get my certificate in graphic design. I’m excited! I taken a few classes already.

I love your body chain! I haven’t seen one quite like that one before!

I found you via IFB, and I thought that we could connect.

Thank you so, so much! I love getting comments regarding my layout because, well, it’s nice to see that people notice it! I actually do do freelance. If you’re interested in working with me, you can email me for rates (thosethingstheysaid@gmail.com).

Graphic Design is so useful. Good for you for wanting to pursue it! GD was actually supposed to be my minor but I’m just going to continue dabbling with it and pursue it as my Masters degree.

Thanks! This one was a lucky find. $15 off of ASOS and it was so unique!

I appreciate you stopping by. Thorough, meaningful comments like yours always certainly resonate with me. I’d love to connect! I’ll follow you right now :)
