It feels so great to finally be in my major! I already feel like I can do so much, and I’ve literally only been to 2 out of 5 classes. I love the two teachers that I’ve had this past week, and I’m taking a poetry course from a teacher that I loved my fall semester last year, so I’m pretty sure this is looking to be a nice semester. For those of you that don’t know, I’m an illustration student, but my school curriculum is designed to put everyone in the same basic foundation classes our first year. I chose the school for those courses, but I’m so glad that they’re finally over.
As you see, I decided to celebrate the new year with a brand new sketchbook (Not that I don’t already have 8 other incomplete ones…). I love the brown-tinted pages–I’ve always wanted a book like this! This drawing isn’t any school assignment, but I decided to warm up after a summer of relatively no artwork. I’m starting a fashion illustration series of bloggers so I can start working with stylization and risk-taking. We’ll see how this all changes over the next three years…
And so, here you have it. Art on the girl’s fashion and art blog. This is none other than the lovely Stylish Wanderer. I’ll post the sketches up when I’m done with the set.
I promise to update as much as humanly possible! I’ve decided to take up a million things this year. I’m keeping my summer job, and trying to add on another one to work at for a couple of hours here and there. I’m also volunteering for a couple of events, and I’m joining 2 or 3 clubs, and making one of my own. I’m trying to have a really busy, active, productive year so I can say that I did my best :) I produce my best work when I’m overloaded, haha.
I’ll be catching up with you all shortly <3
