Something I’ve always wanted to do but not sure I ever have was to do a regular playlist post. I’ve never been interested in doing a “Music Mondays” kind of a thing but I think a monthly playlist would be nice.

These are some songs that have really gotten tied to memories for me over the past year. I always associate music and memory…there’s a strong connection for me whether it be silly guy drama, a time of growth, a period of sadness, a time of accomplishment, or a new chapter. I’ve had this playlist sitting for a couple weeks, waiting on a title and some sort of artwork, which I finally settled on tonight. I always love getting my own photos and hand lettering involved. Anyway, next playlist is due out in a couple of weeks but I hope you can find a way to get a lot of use out of this one before then.

+ Nasty Gal Now or Never Mesh Bodysuit + American Apparel Natural Denim Circle Skirt + American Apparel Interlock Bra + Dolce Vita Daytona Treaded Platform Ankle Boot +

I can’t quite tell what pulls me to certain pieces but I saw this bodysuit on Nasty Gal and it felt really me. It’s definitely out there. I thought it would go perfect with this building in Wynwood that everyone’s already taken a photo with from years back. The geometry just felt too similar to pass up. Somehow, I ended up with a 5th circle skirt from American Apparel but I wouldn’t have picked anything else to pair it with. The circle skirts are such versatile pieces…I can dress them up or down or make them sweet or style them edgy. This is probably one of my favorite looks to date.

+ Nasty Gal Take the Shirt Cut Dress (c/o) + Jeffrey Campbell Brielle Lace-Up Pumps (c/o) + Vanessa Mooney Ride Out Wrap Choker (sold out, similar) (c/o) + UNIF Lore Hat (old, similar) +

Okay, now we’ve fast forwarded in old blog posts to after moving to Miami. I decided it was time for change and colored my hair for the first time ever (EVER!). Right before I left RI, I had a sudden need for more t-shirt dresses. This Nasty Gal one is perfect because of its boxy shape and short length. These Jeffrey Campbells are also TO DIE FOR and I can’t pack for a trip without them. They’ve easily become a wardrobe necessity.

Items from Nasty Gal purchased in part with a gift card provided by them.
