Something important in my style is the accept practicality in matching the outfit to the situation and this one was definitely one of those in so many different ways. I think my important swim week rule was to wear as little clothing as possible–it gets hot! It was 80 degrees on the first night. Miami weather is very unstable so the the 3rd day was much cooler, but still warranted a crop and a mini skirt.

By the third day, my feet really wanted some flat shoes and these are the next best thing. I could wear these shoes for most (not all–let’s be frank) any day and be fine. And then of course I can’t pass out cool little details like the clear straps. Clear/lucite trend: I still love you.

And lets not skip over this bag. I’ve got this black one, and also an identical red one, that I currently live in. When you need to stow away lipstick and cameras and pamphlets and x, y, z, a little backpack is perfect. Effective, functional, and still cute. But I think I’m a bit biased to them–my dream Chanel bag is a quilted backpack.

What I can’t tell you about is what was so cool over to my left side that day. Not sure why I favored the left in my photos–hah!
